Property Update
We would like to assure our visitors that despite recent brushfires here on Hawai’i Island, we are operating normally and the event did not affect Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort or Mauna Kea Residences. Thanks to the swift action of our first responders, the fire was contained and extinguished, and no guests, residents or employees were injured. Hawaii County currently does not have any official orders, bans, or closures in effect at this time, and Hawaii Tourism Authority’s website states “Currently, travel is still welcomed to the island of Hawaii.” We are extremely grateful for the brave first responders of Hawaii County Fire Department, Civil Defense, and Hawaii Police Department who worked hard to ensure the safety of our guests, residents and staff.
Our thoughts are with our brothers and sisters on Maui, and we remain committed to supporting our community and those affected by the fires. Mauna Kea Resort and Prince Resorts Hawai‘i will be donating to the Hawai‘i Community Foundation - Maui Strong Fund to support their efforts to meet evolving needs of a community in crisis.
