Notice to Arriving Guests at Mauna Kea Resort

 

Please be advised that Out of State travel to the State of Hawaii will require proof (upon arrival) of a negative Covid-19 test dated up to 72 hours prior to departure. The State of Hawaiʻi will only accept test results from trusted testing and travel partners.  Should you wish to stay at home prior to departure,  Vault Health can provide you with a safe, fast and easy at-home testing experience. Additionally, up to 20% of people arriving on Hawaii Island will be selected to participate in a mandatory Covid-19 antigen rapid test at the airport. Visitors will be required to present evidence of COVID-19 test results for both the pre-departure and post arrival tests upon arrival at the Resort. The Resort reserves the right to cancel a reservation if test results are not provided at check-in.  For Hawaii state traveler guidelines, please visit hawaiicovid19.com/travel. 

Also for your information, in accordance with the advice of medical experts, local regulations and industry best practices, all employees and guests (age 5 and above) will be required to wear a mask or face covering when in public spaces on property.  Masks are strongly recommended for children age 2-4 years old.  Masks are not required while seated in restaurants, at the pools or at the beach, but are required while transiting in, to or through these areas.
