Yes, the newest experiences at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel have open.   As of November 21st, we have opened up our new fitness center, adult infinity pool, and pool experience lanai (deck).   We are excited to have our guests experience the best in fitness and wellness at this newly built wellness facility.    

The hotel renovations are completed and we do not expect and noise distruption .   A large majority of the renovation work for the newly built spa will take place behind decorative barriers and out of guest view. While we anticipate some minimal  noise during the our final phase of the spa build, any noise during work will be restricted to the hours of 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Minimizing the impact of the renovation on our guests’ experience remains a top priority. We will provide barriers to minimize the construction views of our spa and to optimize the safety and comfort of our guests.  

Mauna Kea Golf Course is now open after an extensive enhancement of its fairways, greens, and bunkers. We are thrilled to unveil our newly redesigned course, spearheaded by the renowned Robert Trent Jones Jr., who led this renovation project. Please click here to book a tee time.

While the parking surface in our valet and self parking lot undergoes repair and updates, guests will be asked to have our valet team handle all car parking.   Once the traditional lot becomes available in early 2026, we will revert back to traditional parking in our guest parking area.

The salon will remain open for the duration of the renovation and is located on the 2nd floor of the Beachwing. Please call (808) 882-5430 for hours of operation or to book your appointment.

Yes, supporting local musicians is important to us and our community. In addition to our weekly lūʻau that is available on Tuesdays and Fridays, we will continue to offer live Jazz on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings at Manta and nightly Hula performance and live Hawaiian music at Copper Bar. 

All retail shops in the Main Tower are now open.

Yes, Kauna'oa Bay and our Reserved Seating area on the beach is open for hotel guests to enjoy its pleasantly uncrowded and tranquil environment, perfect for unwinding and indulging in the comforts of a serene and spacious setting, free from crowds.

Our Beachfront Wing is OPEN for stays and future bookings. Guests are invited to enjoy our newly renovated guest rooms and suites in both the Main Tower and Beach Wing.

The beach at Kauna’oa Bay will be accessible throughout the hotel renovation with the following changes:

1. Public Beach Parking will be temporarily relocated from its current location to an area adjacent to the tennis courts.
2. Access to the beach by residential guests and the public will be from the north end of the property from the tennis shop, past the luau grounds, across the north pointe lawn and down the path past Manta Point.

Yes, we are excited to announce our original resort pool has now reopened.   This original circular pool is now open for families and guest alike.   We are also pleased to unveil a new adults‑only infinity edge lap pool located adjacent to our recently added fitness center.  Both of the hotel pools showcase sweeping oceanfront vistas of Kauna‘oa Bay, offering guests an exceptional setting for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Phase One and Two of upgrades and enhancements to the Main Tower guestrooms/suites, Beachfront Wing guestroom/suites, Hau Tree & Cantina restaurant, family pool and new adults-only inifinity edge pool, plus the resort’s new state-of-the-art fitness center are all completed and open to guests, further elevating the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel experience.
